many other people will be in their best fits, too! a great excuse to dress outside of ur usual comfort zone— monochrome, patterns, fun silhouettes, accessories
this doesn’t apply if ur in nyc in which case i think dressing up is allowed everywhere
it makes such a difference in attitude. I decided to dress up a little to make sure i do good and have a good day. Usually, i would be miserable but today i feel so great. i think looking good helps you feel and do good. its also just fun being able to experiment. i suggest that everyone tries it sometimes and see how it affects your day!!! have a good day everyone
Dress for yourself, not the crowd. I wore this vintage 70s pink floaty cape with pearl appliqués for the Charli XCX Crash tour and despite food poisoning I still had a blast. I wore my huge clown sweater to see Bar Italia and was the most colorful person in the crowd but felt very much myself. For JPEG/Danny Brown I wore my sonic shirt and mary jane’s and got a lot of compliments on my shoes and was not tempted to go into the mosh pit which worked in my favor. Sometimes I tone it down with colors for smaller local shows, last pic is one of my favorite jumpers that has a ton of pockets so it’s great for concerts.
Just be comfortable and feel comfortable and you will be immune to wondering if others around you think you’re cool. My husband and I are going to bladee in october and will no doubt be surrounded by teenagers so I may just bust out the pantsuit for that show.
im holding on to the last 3 pages of this book bc i never want to be done with it. i have annotated and highlighted so many turns of phrase. details. words
