just had this for dinner at home... an absolute classic to have an entire fish sitting on a plate basking in oil and soy sauce and green onions and ginger at a chinese dinner... oh so absolutely delicate in texture and flavour!

yes and also love to be a “en papillote” enjoyer too! indirect cooking makes me feel like I’m really doing something with my life (fish). If yr curious about a tolerable entry level try on- TJ’s does a tolerable frozen one that has everything ready to be heated up.

Get that whole fish (salmon, rockfish, whatever’s local and cheap) and toss it in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper, and some lemon slices and fresh herbs shoved in its belly. Looks heckin’ beautiful on a big tray in the middle of the table, is fun to pick and at eat with whatever side dish you want, and is cheap!
Plus leftovers are great to add to stuff like pasta or omelettes.

instead of doing it under the influence we should start saying it casually on the daily on a random weekday afternoon… this is the way please believe me!
