This show and comic aren’t talked about enough. Weird, sad, scary and sweet all at once. Sam Keith has a phenomenal art style. definitely push past the beginning it gets so good.

It’s chaotic, absurd, hilarious, revolting (seriously not for the weak of stomach), and has a lot of heart. He used to post these one strip at a time during the pande replay, and it was one of the things that I looked forward to the most during that time.

Recently I bought the DVD and watched the 1999 animated TV show Cybersix. Absolutely loved it. It was such a neat concept and art style and it so sucks the show never got to be completed. I decided to buy the original comics the show was adapting. Found a full set on Ebay. Lmao didn’t know it was originally a French comic so bit the bullet and paid extra to have this seller ship it to me from France. 😭 Oh well exited to read the full story through google translate I guess. Haha, anyway I am always looking for new adult media to sink my teeth into. I LOVE animation especially early adult animation. It’s a bummer people simply just don’t get experimental and weird with animation or comics anymore. So I’m often always watching or reading 90s to early and mid 2000s media. Cause everything was so new then people got funky with their ideas. But yeah watch Cybersix if you can it’s pretty great. After hunting online I found a couple translated chapters to read so I’m hyped to get my hands on the rest!

Been rec'd several times already and now I know why. This show knows what must be seen and what can be spoken. Imaginative, detailed animation equal parts Mœbius and Ghibli. They went all out with the diversity of flora and fauna on the planet. This combo of beauty and body horror reminds me of Made in Abyss. And the healthy dose of ecological mystery reminds me of Raised by Wolves (RIP). Give me more.

This music is atmospheric even on thier more abstract tracks. I find them engrossing but not intrusive. Recently when writing, cleaning, driving I have opted to music without words most of the time. Head too crowded right now I guess for more words. That’s not all I listen to, just a trend that has been happen lately. A funny story about Neubauten is a woman I know went to a concert and screamed “I love you!” And one of the members of the band yelled at her to shut up because “we are making art here!” I love the texture of their music and some of its relaxing and other songs more aggressive but it’s always interesting.

This book was really scary but not in a cheap way. It’s kind of a thriller and a mystery book, I don’t want to say too much, just read it now if you are looking for something intense.
