If you want to experience peak satisfaction, listen to this podcast episode. It feels like a massage for my OCD brain. An oldie but a goodie.

This is completely unquantifiable, but it has to be in the top 10 podcast episodes of all time, right?

theclack 100% I'm curious your other favs. I also love this episode of This American Life called ‘Dr. Gilmer and Mr. Hyde.’ Very different vibe, but also a mystery. It makes me cry🥲

lyndseypd Oof it's a tough one. I'll report back when I remember some, but I know there were specific episodes of The Moth that wrecked me. Maybe even Radiolab way back in the day

I will never not recommend this singular podcast episode (recommended to me by a dear friend from high school), which is so funny, silly, and suspenseful: a man remembers all the words and melodies to a song he heard all the time on the radio in arizona when he was a kid, but there's absolutely zero trace of it online or in our collective memory (except for one obscure internet post in a guitar forum, from a user based out of Trinidad & Tobago). the situation is absurd and it's impossible not to laugh along–– i've listened to this on family road trips, drives with friends, etc, probably 6 or 7 times over the past few years without getting sick of it. My first listen was while running the Central park loop and a stranger flagged me down to say we'd passed each other twice and she had to know how I could laugh and smile so much while running

It can get so tiring consuming media because its a 'classic' or it's 'necessary to understand x'. Improving taste and furthering your education is obviously a great thing but it can be worn out just like any other thing! Hence, my preference for the 'nevermind' podcast, it feels like I'm in on a conversation with friends which is the -ultimate- form of expanding your horizons because it doesn't require effort!!! Finding things you can go to for comfort is a great way to find spark. "It's the little things" as they say...

dood this might be the best podcast i’ve ever heard…….. it’s like finding lost media but for people. the jist: it’s stories about ykno. someone on the street saying something kind to you on the worst day of your life like 40 years ago that impacted you profoundly. anyways the podcast crew will go out and FIND THE PERSON or long lost parrot or archbishop of scotland or middle school crush or whatever and get them on the pod for catharsis. it’s really something else ive never torn thru a podcast like this/ been made to cry via podcast.

One of my favorite movies is playing at IFC Center this week! This old Scorsese film evokes extremely unique emotions: I have never felt the tension of fear released by hysterical laughter quite like this. 10/10 Horror/Comedy
