Member of the also great band Mothers, she writes great and weird and beautiful strict alien dream songs. I’d recommend her album The Opening, or Closing of a Door.

formerly known as lingua ingota. one of the only artists that, whenever i listen to their music, u feel completely immersed and transported. her album "saved!" makes me feel like i've stumbled upon an abandoned gospel tape deep in appalachia in the basement of an abandoned building. could be triggering for some with religious trauma, but I think she does a wonderful job of capturing a religious horror like no other

A severely underrated legend and lyrical genius. She also is a visual artist and mother - so she can basically do it all and I find this very inspiring. Her storytelling is unmatched. My favorite album of hers is Alas I Cannot Swim (which I’ve linked), however she has quite a bit of really great music to check out. Her upcoming album, Patterns in Repeat, comes out in October.

I often work alone, however, friendship and hanging out with friends who make you laugh is very good for you, and sometimes that turns into art, I guess. I’m not totally sure how, but it often happens with my friends. Sidsel Meineche Hansen and I recently made the record ‘Alien Baby’. We also made some ‘Globe’ paintings, and I wrote a short soundtrack piece for a video she made with Reba Maybury, called ‘Day of Wrath’. ’Fingerblades’ is a recent duo exhibition of solo paintings, made with Rachal Bradley. I’ve known Rachal since we were kids at school, and I love her very much. Rachal is currently working on a film about Japanese fashion and the north-west of England, where we both grew up.

As a young person. People in their 30s are so Normal and Locked In and they can just talk comfortably, plus they have life experience to share. I‘m looking forward to being that age.

My favorite activity at the moment. So fun to create a town, city, or land mass and imagine the history behind why there are people there and what makes the place function

Spend a long time rolling and slowly stretching your ankles and feet from every angle. It is really worth taking the time to do every now and again
