I left tech in 2020 burnt out from beige walls. Currently working outside doing residential compost pickup part-time and planting food forests. I opened an etsy shop turning recycled computer pieces into craft supplies, but itโ€™s been a slow start. I love this life, but I need just a little more income to make it work, open to suggestions.

I do UX design and creative strategy (catchall idk) at a small design & development studio. We rule so if anyone needs a new site for their company hmu haha. I got here roundabout and have worked in art, farmers markets, and nonprofit comms before this โ€” I think having a diverse work bg (and being a good writer) is super helpful for what I do.

Itโ€™s a national treasure and theyโ€™ve raised over $4 million dollars for AIDS research and prevention. And the place is stupid fun. Great replacement for big box, Amazon, Shein or Temu type outlets if youโ€™re near Philly.

Wonder why developers get everything they want? Realtors association of America is the #2 lobbying organization in the US. Why do pharmas get away with so much? #3 is Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America. #1 is Chamber of Commerce so business holds the biggest seat at the table. Dunno if this is considered conspiracy theory or conspiracy fact.

You grow a tall thing like corn, you grow a climbing thing like pole beans that uses the tall thing like a trellis then you grow a squash that is low with big leaves that serve as shade and protection for the other two. Itโ€™s an indigenous practice, so traditionally itโ€™s done with corn, but Iโ€™m very curious about adapting it to quinoa or sorghum.
