I just read the book "the world is on fire but we're still buying shoes." A short little read about how to be better shoppers in this environment. FUCK AMAZON if you've gotta satisfy your urge to get some cool new garb or stuff for around the house buy from local thrift stores and vintage stores! Just picked up the headboard of my dreams at Goodwill. Better for your wallet, too. Plus it's cool to be like "oh this? It's secondhand."

I will always, ALWAYS recommend a charity shop above all other methods of shopping. I was in one today for about an hour, only a small one too. Still, every time I went to pay for my things I found something even more interesting, like this pencil case. I think itβs pretty cool. I really like Miffy.

Get up and say, "I'm just gonna do this for 10 minutes." And mean it.
Ususally if you plan an hour or more it's impossible, but what's a few minutes? Before you know it you're in the groove and don't need to stop. But you could, if you wanted/needed to. That mindset shift makes all the difference.
