yes! i read this and wasnât sure i liked it but i let it stew in my brain for a while and it justâŚstuck with me
a drippy atmospheric read that also gets one reflecting on what we do for the people we love UGH
Beautifully written -lesbian- novel by Julia Armfield Themes of love, loss, and grief Miri's wife is trapped in a submarine slowly sinking to the ocean floor. We're taken through the story from both Miri's perspective (powerless above sea level left to long for the woman she fell in love with) and her wife Leah's perspective (powerless and bending to the will of her own body.) 10/10
by julia armfield this novel is relatively short, and iâve been positively obsessed with it since i read it a year or so ago. strange, eerie, psychological, and deeply emotional.
by Julia Armfield I finished this last night and I really enjoyed it! Protagonists wife is delayed on a deep sea expedition and isnât the same when she returns. I found it more sad than scary but it definitely has some horror elements. Wonât say more because U just gotta read it and see. Someone on this app recommended this book to me originally but I can no longer find the post/comment. If U see this, thank you! Great rec! âď¸
