cool: mostly birds (cockatoos, zebra finches, kookaburras, emus, cassowaries), monotremes, marsupials like kangaroo joeys, aspects of bogan culture scary (to me): bugs, spiders, snakes, massive reptiles, super ripped and tall kangaroos, southern hemisphere

100% friend-shaped. harmless, elusive, solitary. smaller than terrestrial kangaroos. there are 14 species of tree kangaroos – matschie's is my fave, pictured below 🤎💛

Platypus

They are the only mammal to lay eggs AND they have a bill kind of like a duck. They are also one of the only living mammals to produce venom! I have loved these little freaks for a long time. Honorable mention to chickens, especially roosters. Nothing will brighten your day quite like some silly little chickens.
