my friends Isabel and Simone created the cutest chess club that they host intermittently at different locations in LES like casino, casetta, and metrograph! The coolest people come out and you can play or learn chess while drinking a martini 🍸

i never actually went but I saw an ad on instagram for an LA Chess club on Thursday nights that looked fun. It had like a dj and drinks and food trucks and stuff. I found this article just now

look at people when walking
obviously not in a creepy way but once you start doing this you’ll actually recognize the same people if you’re in a walking neighborhood and it starts to really feel like a village! Love recognizing an old coworker, your local tailor, or just nodding at your barista on the street :)
