alex g & big thief

two of my favorite musicians/bands + playing the same show + in the town i live in + in a park i grew up going to + barricade with my bestie = best concert ever this was before i was a huge alex g fan so hearing gretel live when i wasn’t really familiar with it kind of changed something in me…i did a voice recording on my phone and i go back and listen to it sometimes…it was incredible. and big thief is always an amazing show no matter what.

i saw them last week and it was mind-blowing showmanship teetering performance art. also jorge elbretch joined in on guitar which ruled. thick crazy bass & big vocals - blends 80s sounds of siouxsie and the banshees, yello, and gang of four

Amazing show last night. This will likely end up being my favorite show of 2025 as I just don’t see how anything could top it. They just added another show tonight at midnight, and you are HIGHLY encouraged to go and sit as close to the stage as possible :)

my parents convinced me it was a bad thing but they are WRONG. this is how you find new music, this is how you learn history, this is how you go deeper into the internet. it takes a curious mind to go down a youtube rabbit hole. right now, mine is DJ tutorials and demos. i’m learning so much!!!!
