It’s nice not to have to decide what music is going to set the tone for your day. I just throw on NPR and let news wash over me, since I’m typically too tired to really pay attention but awake enough that I get what’s going on. And now I regularly say “well, I heard on NPR that [insert either local news or random science fact]”

i love listening to the radio. it's great when i don't particularly want to listen to a specific genre of music and such a good way to find new songs. i also use it as my alarms so in a morning i will wake up to the morning news and then straight into some feel good tunes.

A lost art to many young people. Streaming fatigue claims millions of lives every year, let somebody else choose the music for a while! In my first year living in a new city it’s been a great way to feel a bit more local as well, my favorite LA stations are KJAZZ 88.1 and KXLU 88.9. It’s so fun to flip through the airwaves and just listen to a bit here and there, not having to commit to anything or think about it too hard.
