have been accused of psychopathy for this one but my ideal banana still has a faint tinge of green. texture is better and it has a nice tang to it

i cannot stand ripe bananas. the taste is too strong, the texture is so slimy and mushy, and overall it's a gross experience for me. but slightly unripe bananas?! delicious. high in fibre and lower in sugar. the perfect texture, the perfect taste, i could eat a whole bunch. you have to pick the right ones though, they can't be too yellow and not too green, aim for a yellow-chartreuse and some brown spots are okay. pictures 4 is the sweet spot. 3 and 5 are acceptable but not ideal. if it has freckles and many brown spots — absolutely not 🙅🏽‍♀️

I believe that the greener the bananas you buy the better. I also exclusively like to eat green bananas so I may be biased. But buying green bananas allows them to ripen in your house. Typically when the banana is yellow with anywhere from a little green at the end or the beginning of browns spots its considered ripe.

treat your lips the same way you would treat the rest of the skin on your face! put a small amount of moisturizer on em after washing. i like to use something super gentle like an eye cream but whatever you have on hand will work. THEN, before you go out, apply the lip balm of your choice. the balm is meant to be a protective layer between your skin and the dry air. if you put lip balm on top of already dry lips it's pretty much useless bc the skin can't absorb it, which sometimes makes the problem worse. ok stay soft

something cool about Pittsburgh is that pierogis are a staple food. my deli keeps them in the reach in at eye level and so I always end up buying a pack of them frozen. today i was tired and didn't want to cook but also the idea of Uber Eats-ing something was really depressing so i softened some scallions and green garlic in my wok and then let the pierogis brown on either side for like 6 minutes in the hot oil. then i made a dipping sauce with a scoop of creme fraiche and kewpie and a ton of chopped up herbs. when the rogis were done i sauteed several handfuls of spinach in the wok. don't feel bad about calories or carbs because you are also eating spinach ok. make a lazy pierogi dinner today
