If I remember correctly, Rogér Fakhr wasn’t interested in (re-)releasing his music to the public at first after being contacted by the Berlin label Habibi Funk. However, after the horrible explosion at the Beirut port, the label put together a compilation of Lebanese musicians to fund help. They contacted Rogér again, and he immediately replied, wanting to be part of the project. His perspective on releasing music had changed, so the album ‘Fine Anyway’ was released soon after. I first discovered Rogér Fakhr about two years ago on Spotify, and this album has stuck with me ever since. I always come back to it.
