Working at a theatre has changed my life in so many ways. I highly recommend getting a job at your local theatre. It feels like being part of a heart, working to keep this vital organ beating without complications. Every person plays a crucial role in keeping the show running, no matter how small or insignificant their job may seem. Not to be dramatic, but if one of us fails, the heart will stop beating, and as Freddie said, “The show must go on“

Pretty sure I won't be getting an offer but I had a great time anyway. At one point I had to deliver a Shakespeare monologue as if I was a stand-up comedian. Really lovely being surrounded by passionate people, they worked very hard to make it feel like we were all on the same team.

For some godforsaken reason I pursued theatre over visual art (terrible choice, but to be fair they’re both pretty bad). I also believed that I would be disciplined enough to audition full time in New York after college. I really thought that I’d be working on Broadway in some capacity on stage or off. I also thought I’d have everything figured out (my job, my love life, my friends - everything). Now, I have realized I don’t have anything figured out, I’m scared of mostly everything, and I don’t know what I want at all. Everything will probably work out. I hope.
