I do this in many neighborhoods but the best quotes have come from the East Village for some reason. You always hear a fascinating range of topics as people pass, but in the form of only a sentence or two. I always find it incredible how much context can be conveyed within such few words.

scoured the internet for two weeks trying to find a beautiful old danish movie that literally doesn’t exist online.
finally found a comment on facebook that mentioned the movie, messaged the person (a sweet old lady), walked her through the process of burning her dvd into a copy and getting it processed into a digital file to send to me.
It was such an archaic file type that I had to download old software that probably gave my computer viruses but it was the best movie ever and i would do it again
now watching netflix feels too easy
