If you’re vibing whatsoever at all with your server put your life in their hands. They know what’s best on the menu, the real classics, the deep cuts. And as a server I have so much more fun doing this, I’ll always put my friggin heart in it.

Everyone is so tense in these settings that it makes everything super awkward but as soon as you settle down you start noticing petty politics. Everyone is trying to one up everyone else. That pretentiousness.... 🤌🤌 Chef's kiss. I'm just a spectator. I'm just here for food and drama.

was gifted this book and can’t recommend it enough. somewhat autobiographical, jace inspects the modern age of music through asociological lens, looking at its evolution through capitalism (oooh buzzword), class, culture, and everything in between. it sounds more heady than it is, but it‘s really just a book about dj nerd asking “why” and “how” about their love.
