free movies for tha friends with dvd players and they have better call saul and adventure time and broad city and monsters inc did u know that? for free and it’s nice to get out of the house and see other people looking for things to borrow, and scanning your new library card and putting dvds into your plaid tote is really what a saturday is all about

library card is <free> and they got most everything you could want. u can stream with the Kanopy app but i like walking to my local branch a couple times a week to get 2 to 3 DVDs in person.
get a good walk in, smell some flowers, look at clouds, free movies, it’s nice :)
for example i just got the batman movie with jack nicholson and then the entire Neon Genesis Evangeliom series!

call me old fashioned, but i am deep in my library era. i’ve been borrowing e-books and audiobooks for years, but with the recent purchase of a secondhand DVD player, i’m now catching up on all the movies i missed or have long wanted to see by borrowing them from the library. taking it a step further, i’m building my post-Spotify music library by borrowing and burning, adding new tracks to my iPod.
bonus: talking with my librarian about some of the movies he likes that i’m checking out (we both loved “Days of Heaven”).

One of my favorite weekend activities! Here’s this weeks haul. It reminds me of going to the video store as a kid and gives me shopping vibes and I have a whole weekend of entertainment and did spend a cent.
