look, i'm a cat person through and through, and honestly the sheer amount of work involved in owning an axolotl or any other kind of exotic pet breaks me out into a cold sweat..but every night just before i go to sleep i read this forum for literal hours and absolutely delight in it. there's a whole hierarchy to axolotl care and the best posts are the ones asking questions about a potentially sick lotl (see, i'm even using the lingo), because it's where the exotic pet snobs really come out to play. something else to look out for: lots of smol bean talk.

i walked into a pet store in chinatown recently and in the back of the shop they had a smiling pink fish with legs in a tank. i thought i had come across some freaky experiment but when i was talking about it with someone he was like, axolotls !!! i was delighted and intrigued, and i've been contemplating getting one ever since. i feel like it would be a great studio pet.

doesn’t matter if its a capybara, an octopus, a prairie dog, a pigeon, a skink, fancy bugs, or anything else, i will engage with literally any and every piece of content regarding an exotic pet. i also like guinea pigs. follow the hashtag rodent on ig

friends, partners, pets, neighbours, people you see once and never again, lines from your favourite poems, voicenotes your sister sends every week, eating chinese food on the street with an old friend, the part in bizarre love triangle that goes "EVry time i seeeee you fallin i GET down on my kneeees and pray".... i used to be so cautious! but time is short and life is nothing. i'll never be cautious again!
