there are little guys (pikmins, to be exact) walking around doing their wacky ass fruit and seed collecting nonsense in my phone right now. but hey man no. that isn’t nonsense. that’s little guys bringing joy to my day with a postcard of them posing at edinburgh uni library. almost as good as the card game president. i have a baguette pikmin and he is my pride and joy.

the only phone game that has ever reeled me in… i havent gone a day without opening this app since may. its encouraged me to leave the house more, be more active, seek out places i wouldnt usually go, PLUS its so cute.
collect pikmin seeds from places u go, grow ur pikmin and feed them until their hearts r full, then they will go back to where u found them as a seed, and put on a cute little outfit that correlates with the place u found them
PLUS u can collect and send ur friends postcards with pictures of places uve been! i have postcards from all around the world now

random and im about to rant! might be a bad time if its as cold by you as it is by me. But im a big ole fan of walking, i guess everyone is but when I don't have shit to do all day except do work on a screen, going outside makes me feel gud, not just to get in my car or whatever, but going outside just for the sake of it, ofc its nice to have a destination like going to grab a little something, but just puttsing around is really where it's at. which bring me to the app! I guess its a bit counter intuative, but its pretty much just a beefed up step counter. You have these cute little guys in your squad (pikmin) that you get from walking around, they're in different catagories like cafe, pharmacy, train station, hair salon, etc. and when you reach "full friendship" with one, it goes back to the place you found it and puts on a little decoration relating to the catagory! theres more to the app like destroying mushrooms that people in your area can join, Your pikmin bring you postcards from places youve been, there's a different theme every mounth and you can collect the pikimin that wear that months decor, you get little outfits for your Mii.....anyway hah its one of the only things im consistant with becasue its easy,fun,and rewarding. Im not firmiliar with the actual game its from, im not really even into video games but I love it. It gives me more resons to walk around and explore that make it not boring hehe
