With whom I'm still in contact today.
These are people that I've never met face to face,
But whose secrets I know, whose angsts I know.

🗺Today my friend’s friend and my best friend were in venice at the same time by coincidence, and they met up. One lives in massachusett/wisconsin and the other lives in california. These people would never have met if it wasnt for me and my friend who are both in georgia, not venice. Our lives touch each others in ways we cannot imagine. How strange it is to be anything at all.

📱Earlier this year my friend graduated medical school and I went to her party in Philly for it - we have been internet friends from tumblr since we were 16 and i was worried I would be the only one there from online. I got there and everyone was from online - they were all people she met on twitter or tumblr or discord. also my high school ex girlfriend just went to someone’s wedding that she had known from twitter…. people are still friends online and they still move from online to offline, which I think is very sweet

😃too many people, under the guise of ‘self care’ and wellness don’t go out anymore. on the surface I support this as prioritising mental health etc is obvi not bad thing. I just wonder if we’re as a culture inadvertently becoming to risk adverse/ kinda lame? like we’re young, i don’t want to hear about the netflix show youre watching… i don’t want to hear about your knitted scarf… can we all just grab a pint and do some ket in the toilet?
