There are folks that I met on tumblr as a teenager

Today my friend’s friend and my best friend were in venice at the same time by coincidence, and they met up. One lives in massachusett/wisconsin and the other lives in california. These people would never have met if it wasnt for me and my friend who are both in georgia, not venice. Our lives touch each others in ways we cannot imagine. How strange it is to be anything at all.

A dude who would write some website articles and blogs etc who lived in my city and was also funny on twitter, whose content I would engage with- later he followed me and then I found out he grew up with a friend I would see regularly, so we linked up irl and played some tennis a few times and hung.

too many people, under the guise of ‘self care’ and wellness don’t go out anymore. on the surface I support this as prioritising mental health etc is obvi not bad thing. I just wonder if we’re as a culture inadvertently becoming to risk adverse/ kinda lame? like we’re young, i don’t want to hear about the netflix show youre watching… i don’t want to hear about your knitted scarf… can we all just grab a pint and do some ket in the toilet?
