I saw this yesterday when I started my drive home from the grocery, and ran into him again on my street. Yes, he beat me.

I love this both ways: personally, when I’m on my own I always run top speed anywhere i can get away with it (mainly parking lots running to and from the car), but also whenever I see someone running like this I get to yell “they’re getting away!” real loud.

yesterday i saw someone race across a road w a briefcase only 2 get stuck @ another pedestrian crossing. the shoulder slump of defeat as they saw their bus arrive across the road, the hope as the light went green & they raced again, the sad putter to a standstill as the bus drove away without them just 2 soon....... i will never forget them
My reaction is always some flavor of, “awwww no, they fucked up.”
Late for work, gonna miss the bus, fleeing somebody with malicious intent… take your pick, it’s all bad/no good if you find yourself running in your civilian kit.
