My album of the day. Courting is making really fun and interesting rock music that's traditional enough to feel like a rock revival but throws enough curveballs into the production to be more fresh and interesting than that. How many other bands are getting writing credits from Sabrina the Teenage DJ? Happy Endings and Throw were my favorite songs i think

My album of the day. Emo-Country rock out of New York. Love the way they sing on here, bursting with emotion, and the rest of the band blankets the vocals so well. Catalina, Bunk Bed, and Giving Head were my favorite tracks

This ten song record from 2023 is already an underground classic. Is it surfy new wave punk? Punky Disco? Whatever it is IT’S FUCKING GREAT. Lira Mondal is the vocalist I want to hear everyday singing every song. The obvious musical comparison might be Pylon, but there’s also a poppy Romeo Void vibe that I’m fully addicted to. The best record of this year and it came out last year! hahaha!

i went to see my friend‘s friend’s band play their last show in nyc this weekend before their move to Nashville to pursue music full time. they’ve both got gorgeous unique voices and it was so special to see them play a very small intimate venue. you could feel how passionate they were about their music. Highly recommend giving them a listen

My album of the day. Don't love every song on this 23 track project, a compilation album from Surf Gang skater/producer, but it's always interesting. A lot of highs too like K$upreme's DIGITAL, Rx Papi's PAP SHIESTY, Anycia and Robb Bank$ on BASIC. Feels like a victory lap for the current sound of new wave underground rap. Whether you like it or not you can't deny this rap compilation is way more interesting than the Lyrical Lemonade one released the same day. Similarly, there's a preposterous interpolation of Fergie's Glamorous at the end of this that's still better than when Jack Harlow did it

My album of the day. Like a year and a half ago my friend Sophia put me onto Meth Math's song Perreando y Llorando (it means twerking and crying), and I was hooked. The deconstructed club/reggaeton felt so unique in a swanky and hypnotic way, the track had a hold on me. So I was kind of taken aback listening to their newest project Chupetones that released today, as it's much more constructed. These songs aren't here to lure you in slowly, these are for the people tired of twerking and crying in the corner, ready to hit the floor with something to prove. Which is just as beautiful in its own way. Mantis, Myspace, and Cyberia were my favorite tracks
maybe I’ll use it more than instagram, twitter, tiktok, etc
