Pen pal letters...post it note doodles...mini folded zines...tiny abstract paintings...fun stickers...etc.! I've even printed out silly internet memes and made paper collages with them. Postal correspondence is a great way to brighten someone's day...and opening your mailbox to find an envelope hand-addressed to you with Good Stuff inside from someone you care about? It sure beats just getting bills and junk mail!

During covid my boredom took over and I discovered how you can email tons of different brands, professional teams, schools, etc. saying that you're a big fan of them and want to support them by putting their stickers on your water bottle, laptop, etc. Lots of them got back to me and sent me stickers and a variety of other fun things. It was so exciting to go check the mail every day and get new envelopes with surprises. Anyways now I just continue collecting free stickers when I come across them but I have shoe boxes full of things I collected from that era

i keep a few pre-stamped pre-addressed envelopes around for farther away friends and whenever inspiration strikes I send them whatever. Doesn’t have to be a long letter at all! Take the pressure off of it. It could be a sticker I like but would rather they have, or a clip from a magazine or just a note that says “hi I love you and call me!”. It costs less than a dollar and can mean a years worth of sustained knowledge that you’re in each others orbits
