I heard a quote about Where like humans are meant to alchemize their situations however bad they may be into something good. Iām very non-spiritual but I really liked the word āalchemizeā in this context

āhaving an understanding within myself that no matter what bad things may happen to me, i have the ability to not only preserve through these things but use them to strengthen my character. not entirely in the way of stoicism as i believe that carries dumb stupid things with it but more absurdism. creating meaning from life by yourself. it is a sort of alchemy to convert that which occurs to us into increased kindness and gentleness and love

āļøUsed to be a firm believer that chaos could create interesting art and make me a more interesting person. Maybe thatās still true for someone else, but Iāve come to realize the most interesting parts of yourself are already there if you choose to love yourself and Life. That wouldāve sounded so trite to a younger me, but I feel it bone deep rn. Thereās so much to lose from living outside your natural conviction and peace of mind. Donāt think thereās much to gain from it either.
