it's a couple miles from where I live, I don't know who owns it, accessible by foot down an abandoned road hidden behind a gate
it is away from the crazy and traffic and city and machines — 
I walk, wander, sit, lay, and am at last able to breathe
really feels like home

u can see the badlands of South Dakota, the oldest exposed rock in the world (1.8 billion y.o) at the Grand Canyon, ancient pueblos in New Mexico, the pristine boundary waters of Minnesota —all accessible without a passport—what a privilege, what a gift
