Say I don’t know, try to find out, take your time and than get back to the person who asked. Other nice thing to do: instead of looking up things in the net calling a person who is an expert in the field.

the truth hurts sometimes, but you have to defer to the experts. better to get the correct answer from someone else rather than give a best guess/incorrect one yourself and fuck up

not knowing something

When someone asks you something you think you should know the answer to/feel ashamed that you don’t know, say “hmm I don’t know!” And then you learn something new! No shame needed, only learning and vibes. it’s embarrassing for them if they think you should be embarrassed!

no one thinks you're a dummy. someone is probably excited to tell you about it actually. then afterwards you will know, and sometimes there will be more things you don't. both are ok
