kind of hate this book i’m reading, Chelsea Girls by Eileen Myles, it’s just like so self aggrandizing and smug. she keeps cursing like she’s talking to me in a loud bar about only herself.

Currently reading a third time because it’s just so yummy. i read it the first time in a day granted I was in rehab. Eve babitz is the fucking goat and forever underrated. OG it girl and tortured artist literally female Ernest Hemingway With a dash of hunter Thompson heaping spoon of Joan didion. Fiction based in reality like a girl moveable feast. I think I like it so much bc the main character is me coded tbh but the way she says so much in so little is insane and it’s hard to believe it’s not written recently bc it feels so vivid

I know I know. The memes and all that shit but if imma hate something I need to peep it first (always been this way, true hater shit). Picked it up just to check it out and there were some genuinely really funny parts. It wasn’t that bad. Dragged little in the middle, can’t lie, but damn I didn’t expect it to be as sad as it was at some parts. Like damn man all this money, enough to let you do whatever you want, and you just wanna sleep all day? Super depressing in my eyes. It wasn’t as bad as people say it is. Ottessa Moshfegh got a pen on her, the awards make sense. If you gonna hate on it check it out. Be a true hater and have some substance to that hate.

I really struggle to read. I’m one of those people who looks at words and most times don’t read them. Whenever I try to read a book I get distracted and panicked about how I’m gonna turn the page now that I’m soooo comfortable lying down. The last book I read (held the book and listened to it) was Down The Drain by Julia Fox - so you can trust I have TASTE. This book feels very close to home. Very gay, sad, happy, promiscuous. Ten out of ten, if it were a person I’d make out with it.

semi-recently i got one of those tan alarm clocks that has the red numbers and a little radio dial. anyway i got it to use as an alarm because my phone just isn’t enough
the radio is such a good way to wake up, ive been switch around on stations but the classical FM 90.9 my go to right now
good to get out of the habit of grabbing my phone first thing in the morning
