only if you live in italy, you can understand life in provincia. provincia is yes a real place but i’d define it more as a state of mind. i could write an essay on what living in provincia taught me. i just don’t feel like it. we’re lazy in provincia.

john travolta doing qua qua dance on italian TELEVISION.

i wish i was joking, sanremo festival is the weirdest thing a foreigner could ever experience. Italy is truly a place of songs when outside there’s death, to quote “boris” that is of the most famous italian tv show. explaining sanremo to you is quite impossible if you don’t live it. it’s 6 days of complete madness, collective hysteria: a whole country fixed on songs, memes and outfits. there could even be a coup d'état happening and we would be too distracted.
