My first John Waters film! Always admired the King of Filth from afar but this film was my first of his. I loved it! It’s PRIME camp melodrama, it’s outrageous in so many ways. it’s both not what I expected and exactly what I expected. Gonna finish Female Trouble soon (started it yesterday)
A delightful (82-minute) screwball (with a super-weird title). The movie made me wonder: was Molly Ringwald the reincarnation of Ginger Rogers?! She’s great here. It even features a scene where she competes in a dance contest!
glorious surrealist beauty The sound of music (1965)
still never gonna get over how it’s a happy enemies to lovers fun family music and simultaneously a Nazi film Pretty in pink (1986)
The film my dad said he based his single father parenting on. It definitely shaped my teenage style!
Finally got around to printing off a bunch of the essays and articles that I had saved on my computer for a while. I find it makes it easier to get myself to actually get around to reading some of the stuff. Paper is also a nicer reading experience, with less distractions and eye strain.
Any pi.fyi rec (by someone else, not yourself) that you saw and then acted on yourself - read the book, listened to the album, watched the movie, tried the activity, etc.
A platform for designing and hosting your own webpages with HTML, inspired of course by Geocities. I used it to make my own pretty basic webpage: https://kiranlgill.neocities.org/. For an example of all the stuff you can do on it, see: https://odditycommoddity.neocities.org/
