going on an adventure just to obtain one small item or finish one small errand that you have in mind
just like in the olden days where they'd go on a very large ship and voyage for whatever but for me i just want to get some stickers or goat cheese on a stick but it takes me over an hour and a half to get there…
i’m getting a bit older and hopefully a bit wiser so this is not as appealing anymore (cause time is money…) but i still stand by it! i love an adventure and being an adventurer, it is within my soul

and not just those trips to a 711 in the middle of the night or the city just outside of yours. i mean getting on a bus with no plans and just hopping on the next trip to another town that’s 7-8 hours away from where you live then going home before the night deepens. honestly one of the points of living. if you haven’t done a one night only trip for unfamiliar coffee at a hole-in-the-wall cafe, stroll around town with a road that’s too narrow or just breathe in the air that’s fresh yet different than what your lungs are used to, then what are you really waiting for? get out there and explore the world. you’ll thank yourself for this doing this on a whim

i have always been nomadic at heart, so my favorite thing to do is just pack up the car with camping gear and snacks and pick a direction. make sure you have gas money and stop at all the stupid lil stops you see along the way like the world's largest rocking chair and only eat at small local restaurants and drink too much caffeine and take lots of pictures. it's so freeing and you'll have so many fun stories.
