beardyhat Oh that is a solid idea, mind sorta blown, friend. I'm on it, I admit I'm going to look for the coolest effing variant I can find tho.

Can I recommend a box cutter with replaceable blade? 25 years ago I carried a pocket knife for similar reasons and after awhile, the blades always gummed up and got nasty. Somewhere around 15 years ago I started carrying around a compact box cutter instead and it's been much better for the fact that I can remove the blade and replace it. Also comes in handy when you're at the airport and forgot you brought it with you, so you can remove the blade and be on your way.

lets be honest, pocket knives are mostly used for opening boxes and packaging. They don’t need to be gigantic. A tiny knife sits nicely with no bulk in the bottom of your pocket. It’s not how big it is…

Just a seriously nice little knife. Very easy to use and compact. I have been opening boxes with my wine key and am finally bringing out this little guy.

I have been in the business of absolutely murdering my poor scissors for years. I put them in the "spread eagle" position and use them to slash open all of my many online purchase boxes. They have been continuously stretched beyond their capabilities. All this has changed since I made the shift to my special box cutter. I bought it at the Ace hardware store on 1st avenue. It wasn't the cheapest but also not the most expensive. It was probably around $12 and it's radically transformed my day to day existence.

I'd NEVER pay for a algo-driven, ad-saturated social network...so even if it's purely symbolic in the long run, I just upgraded to demonstrate with my wallet that there is a market for this cool community.

I know I'm not cool. That's why I appreciate the PI community for letting me play at being cool. I feel like a hipster pollywog with a protective froggie parent letting me explore the pond safely. Sure, at some point I'm likely to get snatched up as a seagull's breakfast, but I'll enjoy the pond while I can. Thanks.

Probably picked it up from Reddit, I feel good when saying this, no idea why.
