last night I was at my studio waiting for something to cure and I decided to go to the bar around the corner alone. I brought a PDF i printed out and read it over 2 beers. Feeling like an obnoxious social deviant was fun and it felt like I was able to focus better when there was so much happening around me.

Nothing compares to this kind of cozy. everyone left the apartment at 2am and i’m finally alone. Huge crew neck sweater and no pants in fresh sheets. Radiator gurgling and huffing. Feeling completely immersed in this story after a night of yapping
i love reading off a couple beers in general. i remember I read almost all of Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis in my living room with friends drinking beers.

I actually had the idea last night for a regular gathering with friends: Reading Articles Together
— you go to the pub or a coffee shop or a home, everyone brings a couple printed off articles, and then you take some time to just pass them around to read, intentionally, and then be open to whatever conversation spills out from that
If you don't have a printer then a read-it-later service like Pocket or something could be handy for later-saving
