Learning something new (especially but not only languages or skills) takes a lot of time and focus. Be patient and open! I often get a feeling of instant panic or frustration when I approach something new that seems too confusing. But stick with it, and things will start coming together! This is important not only for approaching external things, but also for working through your own ideas. This is my grad school affirmation I have to tell myself every time I open my laptop π±
