I went to Matrix club during my very first night in Berlin. I recall cover being quite steep, and stepping inside, the space was crawling with creeps looking you up and down as they film a generic party scene on their phone. That night I learned a good club doesn’t tolerate even the sight of phones. Anyway, I stayed long enough to take a shot and dance for a couple songs. Yes, songs, they were playing rap from 2018. Think Astroworld. I give Matrix an F.
Dw, I redeemed my night and went to suicide club after
Stay tuned for my other club reviews, I also went to Berghain🫢

It ain't Berlin but this place was pretty good. Sometimes live music, sometimes a DJ, crowd not entirely tourists/dumbasses, room to dance

I miss Griessmuehle in Berlin, especially the Cocktail d’Amore parties there, the sex pit in the basement, and jumping into the adjacent canal to swim as the sun rose. I miss the old Ashley House in London, when Adonis was there. Great raves need rambling spaces with lots of different rooms to roam and explore and fuck in. We can’t hold onto every great space, but I appreciate those in our community who fight to try. The Queer Nightlife Community Center (QNCC) is a new initiative being launched by Seva Granik to convert the Brownsville warehouse where he throws NYC’s best rave, Zero Chill, into a permanent, year-round community space aimed at supporting queer nightlife. I’m all about it.

There is karaoke AND a rave AND dragshows at midnight. All that for 2000 Ft. The performers are very sweet, tho I forgot who I took this picture with

Built by Le Corbusier for a young rich bachelor in Paris’s swanky 16eme, it was the Swiss architect’a first completed project. If you care about how design and architecture have since evolved, it’s really cool to see le Corb’s early work and how he was ALREADY playing so much and so well with light, windows and space. Every view looked like a tableau of a beautiful movie set.

For context I use premier pro for projects. Tik Tok really wants you to make videos as easily as possible so they made a good app for making videos. There are accurate autogenerated captions, voice editors… but most importantly, it’s easy to splice up a video with accuracy
