Learned how to make a pan sauce from there and now that’s my go to cheap fancy meal!! I can get shallots and bone in skin on chicken thighs and garlic for about $3 at a store and then I just use leftover wine and butter and various aromatics and it always turns out great. Then I serve it with rice
Really teaches you to use intuition when cooking and how to sort of naturally prepare or put things together other than relying on a strict recipe. Really good for cooking for one or two people!
