I can’t tell you how many times I’ve reached out to someone on a whim and told them I’m appreciative for having them in my life or the value they hold in my life and most people’s first reaction is to ask if everything is ok or I need to talk about something. It’s almost like they‘re caught off guard by hearing words like this and can only react by assuming something is wrong..we need to be giving each other uplifting words more often and spread the love around

or your inner prompting, or whatever you prefer to call it I was getting emotional last night past midnight thinking of a college friend I hadn’t heard from in a while (we talk briefly a few times a year), so I sent her a Marco Polo telling her how much I miss her and admire her and how proud I am of the work she’s been doing and that I just love her so much and wanted her to know She messaged me back in tears because she’d had some really heavy blows to her self-esteem lately and hearing a friend tell her out of the blue all the reasons she was awesome was exactly what she needed I know variations of this sentiment go around often here but it bears repeating!! Tell people you love them and why! 💌

- my irritability on commutes can be easily traced to a case of low blood sugar. In short, if I’m upset it’s typically because ‘I’m Hungies’- I'm almost 30 and I have only recently accepted this as fact. Traveling with snacks has DRASTICALLY lowered the odds that I will cry on the subway or trauma dump on my socials.
