I am so grateful to my grandma for teaching me to knit. the small repetitive movement are soothing, and it keeps my hands busy and off my phone. they are so easy and accessible to make. just buy one hook and find some scrappy yarn. you can make them single or multi-coloured! you can make them as small or large as you like! eventually you will have enough to make a scarf or bag or top or blanket!
i taught my mum how to crochet granny squares during lockdown (she is the least crafty person ever) and she secretly made me a blanket out of them 🥹

Dudes i am so into filet crochet rn🧍🏻 you know that shit ur grandma was doing in the 70s to make all those lovely doilies that are all stuffed in some dusty attic now lol. Highly recommend for the fellow members of the autism community 💀 deadass never been so relaxed in my life. I use this website called stitch fiddle to make patterns out of literally any shape or image i want, it’s so dope!

I need to take my own advice… I will often meet people and the lovely things about them stick out to me — be it their laugh, the way they wear their hair, maybe a particular piece of clothing — and I really want to compliment them but the words are like peanut butter in my mouth and I can’t spit it out! I mean every now and again I remember a compliment I’ve gotten and am all 🤭 over it. I need to put that good energy back into the world!!!
