it was so whimsical! the characters were 4 years older than me so naturally i thought they were cool (they were). i remember reading the last book at my grandma’s porch during the summer and crying over them meeting their father who passed away.
i don’t think there could have been a series that made me feel so connected and in a trance. i think my parents kept getting mad at me cuz I would always finish the book too fast hehe
