ideally: sourdough, sliced, dipped in seasoned olive oil (cracked black pepper, flaky salt, red pepper flakes, lemon juice or zest, and balsamic vinegar). i find it most satiating when the bread is firm and the crust crisp. i am also quite partial to a slice of sourdough paired with a thick slab of salted butter and a square of dark chocolate (80% cacao or higher). to my palate, it’s of utmost import that the bread be room temperature, as the solidity of the butter is the part i love best, and it would surely melt otherwise.

buy a loaf of sourdough and toast a slice. Add avocado - mushed up and NOT slices pls. Lemon. Olive oil (graza is the best I don’t want to discuss this). maldon sea salt flakes. Heaven.
