two shoegaze bands formed in 2010, awesome sounds all around. linked is a split EP that they released, two songs from each band.
also one of my favorite shoegaze albums is beat by bowery electric. superb wall of sound, trip-hop drums and sparse lyrics.

Listen. shoegaze is fucking dope. not novel but it’s even better when it’s scary. I would recommend the song Thursday on Wings of Joy. The whole album is just out of control. The beautiful nymphette vocals that sound right out of the BCE, the liberal strings, the suspense, the drama. sounds like taking one too many oxycontin. last time i did that it was 2016 but i was listening to spooky black x clams casino (obviously)

Hard not to look like an asshole when you whip this out in public. But who cares! It’s a classic for a reason. Whitman’s prose flows gentle, like floating beachgrass on bright ocean waves. Or whatever.

Arguably the most consistent way to hang out with friends at least once a week. So many venues have them. Activity! Camaraderie! And you usually learn something.
Thursday is the best night for this, I think. Gives you something to look forward to other than the weekend.
