Living at altitude, and especially as it gets colder, it takes some effort to avoid turning into a dried husk. So, every night Iโm applying artificial tears, irrigating my nose with saline spray, slugging on top of a thin layer of emu oil, and finishing off with a thick lip balm. By morning, everything has absorbed and my skin is looking/feeling bouncy vs desiccated.

Okay soo... I can go a lot of ways with this.. if you want truly cozy, i.e lighter, comedic.. maybe I am not your best recommender, haha.

The Silent Patient- Alex Michaelides .. maybe a more well known suggestion.. if you were cool with Gone Girl, etc. still good.
Night Film: A Novel - Marisha Pessl .. dark creepy thriller. Good if you are a fan of horror films/general weirdness.
Dept. Q series - Jussi Adler-Olsen ... Nordic(ish) mystery . Cold cases. Some darker than others. Also have been made into films.
7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - Stuart Turton...more Agatha Christie vibe. Like an escape room, in book form.

Like this former ice house/band practice space/storage unit/ no idea there was so much random stuff ... It has had many lives and will have many more. Grand Rapids is more interesting than it appears. Placemaking. Exhibition. Activation. Art and community and connection. Here we go.
