I don’t like much poetry but I’ve always loved this: “Such wilt thou be to me, who must,     Like th' other foot, obliquely run;  Thy firmness makes my circle just,     And makes me end where I begun.”

based on the perfectly imperfect twitter ecosystem the algorithm has fashioned for me I’m incredibly surprised that no one has mentioned his name on this list. His poems read like a hybrid of manic pleas to god, voicemails that are too hard to listen to but too sentimental to delete, a writer that any Sensitive Young Man can effortlessly slip into the shoes of when he reads a John Doe poem
