I like when a book has some scribbles or folded corners from a previous life. It makes me feel less anxious about keeping it pristine and it's honestly pretty romantic to sit and think about who held it before you.

if it’s not a little tattered and fucked up I can’t really mess with it. I like the weathered look, things written in the margins. it shows me it got the love and attention it deserved.

I love finding a secondhand book with annotations, it feels so special to see a glimpse into what someone else was thinking while reading. Even if it's surface level notes for like a class or something, it makes me feel connected to the greater whole of humanity.

I wanna know what past owners of my beloved books thought of the passages!! I want to know what YOU think! Books are meant to be annotated, shared, discussed and loved!!

is the absolute best (with a group of 2-3). I don’t understand why restaurant hosts are hesitant to seat anyone there, that’s where I want to be! I get to spy on the bartender and shoot the shit; it just feels like a more intimate dining experience to me. I don’t care if it’s less formal, bar seating will always be my favorite way to dine.
