Sing sing

A sentimental film but it absolutely works. Contemplates the meaning of making art against the backdrop of the utter pointlessness and cruelty of the American carceral project. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much in a theater.

I can’t really pick a favourite but I feel a real sentimental connection to this movie. I got to attend the premiere and watch the movie while I was 17.

Almost famous (2000)

”Almost Famous” is a nearly flawless two and a half hours of enchanting cinema and enthralling music. It’s got a wonderful atmosphere, a fantastic 70s vibe and is one of the best and most unique coming of age films out there.
Give this one a watch if you haven’t seen it yet, it might change your life :)
