lil test bites

every time i bake a cake for someone (which became my weekly reality) i save the scraps to make a smol test bite. test bites are great! not only for cakes! there is something endearing about taking the time to make a small version of any dish, with all the important components, just to try it yourself before serving to other people. like a quality control

fat thursday (tłusty czwartek)

once in a year, on a thursday, there is this national polish celebration of donuts. and everyone HAS to eat a donut. ive been living abroad for a few years now, but every year i line up at this one polish cafe in amsterdam to get my pączki(pl donuts). i am educating my dutch friends about it and they fucking love it now
