Oh yea! First 'date' with my wife was at an experimental music show at Stanford campus. I cannot remember anything about the music but everything about how her and my interaction.

put on an “open” jam last night at the bar. Ppl showed up with clarinet, trombone, shakers, and it was free. no songs - no sales, just people playing music. it was fun. Posted a redacted version of the most unhinged flyer I’ve ever made - but hey it worked

going to local shows
yeah sometimes it’s $10-$15 for three bands you’ve never heard of but mostly it’s a night of new music, fun experiences, and cool people you would've never met otherwise. My band is playing at Arthouse Gallery in Berkeley.
