If you are like me and dislike the sensation of moisturizer on your skin, but also have lizard skin that requires moisture, boy do I have a solution for you. Meet vegetable glycerine. She’s inexpensive and she’ll do you right. I mix 1 part glycerine to about 6 parts water in one of those Flairosol bottles (I like those bottles specifically because you can spray them upside down) and give it a good shake. Right after a shower when you’re still wet, spray it upon your tippies, legz, arms, face, I even use it on my scalp in the winter when it’s dry. It smells like nothing and makes your skin so soft, and it’s not oily at all in that ratio. I’ve started calling my skin “chinchilla skin” when I exfoliate and ~then~ use the glycerine spray. It’s sometimes so soft, I could cry.

i was so terrible to my skin growing up and now it freaks out at 99% of products. that said, i started "slugging", aka applying an occlusive layer on top of a moisturizer two nights week and holy toledo, my skin is happy about it! after washing my face with just water, i put on some sebamed clear face gel (basically just hyaluronic acid, glycerin and some water goop), let that sit, then rub in a little smaller than grape size amount of vaseline on top. i wake up with really soft, dewy, glowing skin. vaseline is soooo cheap too. if you're nervous about this breaking you out like i was - it won't!

Being ashy is not fun and it's also terrible for your skin. As someone who suffers from dry skin in the winter, I recommend lathering some shea butter on your face before stepping out of the house. This can be applied to your hands as well. A+D Ointment and Vaseline are also good facial products to keep your skin moisturized. Another option for your hands is Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion. This is an effective and quicker option compared to the shea butter. Sometimes the butter takes time to work into the skin. I personally make time to moisturize my hands with both. I find this lasts longer. As for lips, some good options include Chapstick brand Original Chapstick, Blistex, Aquaphor, or Fenty Skin Lux Balm.

I buy big blocks of organic cocoa butter and melt it down and pour it into twist-up sticks and use that as moisturizer!!!! So simple and so soothing and nourishing to the skin. I’ve also been using jojoba oil mixed with a little dab of Weleda Skin Food but Skin Food is aggressively scented so not really what you asked for…

Bags, that is. I saw this hack online and tried it - bring home a bag of kale or spinch or whathaveyou, take a single paper towel, fold it once and put it in the bag and just leave it in there. I don’t know why or how but it makes it not go bad. It’s probably science, but I prefer to think of it as magic.

I had been struggling with my sleep for months, it started with odd hours and then turned into full on insomnia. Felt like a waking corpse who only existed to suffer. I saw on TikTok girls were doing tart cherry juice before bed, but I’m an insulin conscious girly so I decided to try the extract in pill form instead. This solved my sleep issues in the first night. I don’t wake up groggy after either, which usually happens for me with other sleep aids. I take the Carlyle brand, but usually only take two capsules before bed, and I often take it in combination with valerian root and magnesium and I sleep like a cherub angel all the night.
