as a small follow up to my previous recc arctic eggs and my final recc of the evening, i give you tom waits' beautiful bluesy jazz number eggs and sausage (in a cadillac with susan michelson). who knew someone could make "chili in a bowl with burgers and fries" sound so poetically melancholic. thanks tom.

Beautiful pedal steel and it’s oh so sad. A nice reminder that you can record one album of mediocre success and die and then 50 years later some random fuckhead can find it and reintroduce it to the snobs of the modern era

If you like music of the indie rock variety. I don’t trust what people say we sound like because I’ve heard everything from Pavement to Mumford and Sons. I think we’re more like if Frightened Rabbit got in a really pathetic bar fight with the Weakerthans. You can decide for yourself if you want.
