Saw two of their "farewell" shows, 19 years apart (Haa), and I don't see how anyone can ever replace what they do, and have done.

They were the best band, and then they broke up. The VU reunion is also the least nostalgia-grabbing, most interesting and rewarding band reunion that I can think of. It burnt out quick but produced some great stuff. Linked “Coyote” above, their only “new” song before they broke up again
Television also broke up too soon.
I also wish Girls could have made more music together… and there are so many others

is the best place I’ve been to in NY to browse CDs. Everything is well organized and they still respect the format.
There’s a large $1.50 section that has plenty of all the old bargain bin classics, but will also occasionally please with something unexpected.

Is screening in New York starting next week. Full transparency I worked on it a little bit towards the end, but I was a fan before that. See it in a theater and let it wash over you if you have the luxury. Otherwise check it out on HBO/Max on the 31st!
